Clear out for good

Keeping on top of your stuff isn’t easy after having kids, with our consumption extending to an entirely new generation that grow at the speed of light. If you are planning a clear out, here are some amazing local organisations we have discovered that can put your unwanted items to good use.

âš¡ Project Uplift
You can donate your unused bras to Project Uplift and they will send them to women in need of them in the Pacific Islands. Since 2005 Uplift has sent over two million bras! www.projectuplift.org.nz

âš¡ Iusedtobe
Toys that are made out of PVC are not recyclable in New Zealand, however you can donate your clean pool toys and inflatables that are past their used-by date to be repurposed into functional, splash proof bags. www.iusedtobe.co.nz

âš¡ Lazy Sneakers
A sneaker bank project collecting reusable sneakers, to date they have donated 20,000 pairs to kids and families throughout NZ. www.lazysneakers.co.nz

âš¡ Recycle A Device (RAD)
An initiative that matches those who need a laptop with a donated and refurbished device. RAD accepts laptops less than ten years old and come with a charger. www.recycleadevice.nz

For other devices check out www.remobile.org.nz and www.techcollect.nz

And of course us. Ripple accepts clothing from newborn to 12 years, in any condition as long as it is clean.

If you have any strategies to tackle the clear out or any amazing initiatives you would like to mention feel free to give them a shout-out in the comments section below.👇
